Full IANZ Membership
Full members are practicing New Zealand Audiological Society Audiologists (practicing = at least 16 clinical hours per week), with a financial interest of at least 50% in an audiology practice or business which is not a franchise.
If you and another practicing audiologist own, together, 50%, then you can both join. Membership is for individuals, not clinics.
Full Members:
- Agree to abide by the NZAS Code of Ethics, and the Independent Audiologists Australia Code of Ethics (modified for New Zealand, with permission)
- Agree to abide by the NZAS standards of practice.
- Agree to conform to the IANZ clinic quality control program.
- Pay an annual membership subscription of $250 after one year of membership at the end of each calendar year (pro-rata if not a full year).
Benefits of full membership:
- Clinic listing on the IANZ website, marking you and your practice as independent and a signatory to the IANZ Code of Ethics and quality control requirements;
- Opportunity to participate in, and contribute to, association activities, policies and decisions;
- Access to reports, meeting minutes and decisions by IANZ;
- Access to online resources, webinars and events offered by Independent Audiologists Australia (IAA)
- Access to information and discussions around independent audiology issues in the US (Academy of Doctors of Audiology website, webinars and listserve emails);
- Networking with and support from fellow independent audiologists;
- Discussions via dedicated online meeting facilities when issues are pressing;
- Practice/Business-related seminars open to members only;
- Advocacy with various agencies (eg insurance, MOH, NZAS, ACC and VA) which is focused on independent audiological practice, professionalism, and retention of patient choice.
